The Ogun State Police Command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident to our correspondent on Thursday.
Odutola announced that a manhunt was underway to apprehend the suspects.
Odutola said, “A call was made to inform the police command about an attack that occurred at the victim’s cow ranch around 1:35pm today (Thursday). Some suspected thieves allegedly broke through the windows to gain access to the building.

“A 75-year-old man, identified as Adamu Idi, from Ako village, was also attacked with a machete, resulting in a deep cut on his head.
“As soon as the police were informed, they sprang into action. Upon arriving at the scene, the DPO took the victims to a nearby hospital called Love and Care Hospital for treatment.”
Odutola said that none of the cows were taken from the ranch and emphasized that efforts are ongoing to track down and arrest the fleeing suspects.
“Investigations are ongoing, and any further developments will be communicated,” Odutola said.
