Dr. Raymond Edoh, Chairman of the Aazik Group, United Nations Habitat Ambassador to Nigeria, and Secretary General of the Nigerian Youth Congress, has issued a call to action to the federal government of Nigeria, urging them to implement a youth-friendly open door policy that is just and welcoming to all young people in the country.
He pointed out that this would lead to a unified and comprehensive participation on the part of young people in the government that was in place at the time.
Edoh made this statement while he was in Abuja paying Senator George Akume, who serves as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, a working visit.
When asked about the expectations that young people have of the government, Edoh stated that there are two primary areas that he would like the current administration to focus on, and that these areas are “leadership and Education.”
As he extended his heartfelt congratulations to Senator Akume on his well-deserved appointment as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, he made an impassioned plea to the SGF to always keep his doors open for the youths to always engage with him. In addition, he congratulated Senator Akume on his appointment.
In response to the question, the SGF, Senator George Akume, stated that the youth of a nation is what makes it great. He made the point that the President is supportive of young people and believes in the potential of young people in Nigeria.
He also mentioned that the President has a strong belief in the unity of the country as well as the diversity of the country’s youth. He stated that based on the appointments that the President has made up to this point, “There is an indication of what he has in store for the youth of Nigeria.”
“Now is your time, and I have the utmost confidence in the younger generation. Tell us if you think we’re going off the rails if you think we are. If it seems like we are headed in the right direction, you should also encourage us. We are not God in any way. There is no such thing as an infallible person. We are committed to providing service to the very best of our abilities. Yes, we are human and are capable of making mistakes. If we do, please correct us and do not judge us. According to the SGF, “there are some people who don’t see anything good in a leader when they are not involved.”
He appealed to the Ambassador to make use of his position to secure additional funding for educational opportunities for young people in the nation and to assist the current administration in its efforts to remove a significant number of young people from the streets.
In a separate turn of events, Edoh made the following statement about Aazik Petroleum Limited while he was speaking on the company: “Aazik Petroleum with over a decade of experience in providing a wide area of specialty services works and also provides volumes of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) directly to end consumers.” It is of the utmost importance to the company that all of its clients’ demands are promptly and satisfactorily fulfilled, as this is the company’s top priority.
“Aazik Petroleum Limited is able to efficiently manage multiple distribution channels throughout the entirety of the downstream oil and gas value chain.” Over the course of its existence, the business has amassed a wealth of experience and expertise, both of which serve to enhance its operations.
“The greatest desire of the company is to implement technologies that will give added value to the materials that are extracted in its home country, applying international standards and norms to be competitive and helping to bring the country to a level of respect and equality.” Its strength lies in the large available market for petroleum products, as well as in its understanding of both the regional and global marketplace and its ability to identify supply and demand gaps and opportunities.
