Inmates in Anambra jails will soon have access to news and happenings from Nigeria and the rest of the globe, according to Governor Charles Soludo.
Soludo, who was sworn in last week, issued the assurance on Monday in a summary of his Sunday activities.
After his Thanksgiving Mass, the governor said that he paid a visit to the Ekwulobia Prison.
Officials from the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) took him on a tour of the institution to show him the current state of affairs.
Soludo spoke with the inmates and wardens, assuring them that a new system will be put in place.

The Anambra helmsman said that reviewing and concluding all pending trials was his top priority.
“I also vow to restore every leaky roof and broken infrastructure,” he said.
“We’ll also address the long-standing lack of power supply by giving solar gadgets and television sets so convicts may watch football, news, movies, religious activities, and amusement,” says the statement.
