Pretty Mike, a well-known socialite and performer, had his house temporarily forfeited by the Federal High Court in Lagos due to claims that the property was being used for drug sales and storage.

After hearing an ex parte motion submitted by Mr. Buhari Abdulahi, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency’s (NDLEA) attorney, Justice Musa Kakaki issued the order on Tuesday.

200 grams of cannabis sativa and 169 cylinders (384.662 kilos) of nitrous oxide, sometimes known as laughing gas, were allegedly stored and distributed at the facility, which is situated at No. 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, and is run as Proxy Lagos Night Club.

The nightclub is owned by Mike Nwalie (Pretty Mike) and Joachim Hillary, who allegedly utilized the space as a base to get ready for a “large-scale drug party,” according to the NDLEA.

In his October 27, 2025, application, Abdulahi described the nightclub as a “instrumentality of crime” under the NDLEA Act and asked the court to grant an order for its temporary forfeiture to the Federal Government.

Additionally, he requested an injunction that would halt all business and entertainment operations on the property until the investigations were finished.

He maintained that no party would be adversely harmed by the court’s ruling and that the injunction was required to protect the property’s integrity during the ongoing investigation.

The NDLEA revealed in an affidavit given to Deputy Commander of Narcotics Nasiru Garba Bungudu that the agency had obtained reliable information in October 2025 regarding plans for a significant drug event at the nightclub. On October 26, 2025, at around midnight, NDLEA agents from the Lagos Strategic Command assaulted the site in response to the tip.

Officers reportedly found 200 grams of cannabis and 169 cylinders of nitrous oxide during the raid, and they arrested over 200 people, including the two responders.

Subsequent laboratory testing verified that the materials confiscated were prohibited narcotics.

Additionally, the statement claimed that the nightclub had a history of engaging in drug-related operations with the owner’s knowledge and approval.

Following an examination of the motion and supporting documentation, Justice Kakaki granted the NDLEA’s request and ordered the nightclub to be temporarily forfeited to the federal government.

Additionally, the court ordered that all activities at the location be halted until the investigations were finished.

For a follow-up hearing, the matter was postponed until January 28, 2026.
