“President Muhammadu Buhari will travel to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s capital, on Thursday for the 35th Ordinary Session of the African Union Heads of State and Government. On Wednesday evening, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity Femi Adesina made the announcement. Under the theme “Building Resilience in Nutrition and Food Security on the African Continent: Strengthen Agriculture, Accelerate Human Capital, Social and Economic Development,” President Buhari will join other African leaders in finding solutions to the continent’s political, economic, and social challenges. Buhari will hold bilateral meetings with some leaders on the sidelines of the AU meetings, with a shared interest in improving trade relations, partnering to address security challenges, and maintaining relationships with multilateral institutions for long-term development. The President will be accompanied by Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Dr. Osagie Ehanire, Minister of Health; Mohammed Abubakar, Minister of Agriculture; and Sadiya Umar Farouk, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development.
At the AU meetings, the President will be joined by the National Security Adviser, Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno, and the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Amb. Ahmed Rufai Abubakar. Senator Zwingina claims that thugs broke into a church with a bulldozer and beat the pastor over a land dispute. Amaechi’s renaming as Dan Amanar Daura was not politically motivated.” 2022 (GistAfri.com)
