Following the expiration of the tenure of the previous Board, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the reconstruction of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) Governing Board.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said the board’s chairman is Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, in a statement released in Abuja on Wednesday.
Mr. Wada Asab Ibrahim, Mr. Iheanyichukwu Azubike Dike, Mrs. Adesola Oyinloye Ndu, and Mr. Olaniyan Olatunji Badmus are among the other members that were appointed to represent various interests as required by the NBC Act.

Mr. Bashir Ibrahim, Mr. Obiora Ilo, Mr. Ahmad Sajo, Engr. Bayo Erikitola, a representative of the State Security Service, a representative of the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, and the Commission’s Director-General are also members of the Board. The Board of Directors has a three-year term.
