Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi, has urged Nigerians to continue to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari.
Governor Umahi stated this in Abakaliki, on Tuesday, while addressing party supporters on how to distribute fresh palliatives to the people of the state, noting that he was committed to the development of Ebonyi irrespective of party affiliations.
He maintained that he defected to APC because of the injustice the PDP meted to the Southeast in spite of the support the zone had given the party, adding that he would continue to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari.
His words: “I want to tell you that we must continue to pray for our President, when people said PDP made me, I asked whether it is man that makes a party or party that makes man.”
“When I left, I asked my detractors whether I took anything from the party. I also asked them if I am the only governor who was in PDP.”
Further justifying his decision, he said people should remember that Ebonyi State saw more development under President Buhari’s government, adding: “So, you cannot say that Ebonyi developed under PDP because all that you have seen here are the result of the support Mr. President gave to all the states and ours.”
