Governor Yahaya Bello, the candidate leading the Kogi State governorship race, has warned APC candidates against dividing the party.
Prior to the party’s primary election, which is scheduled for April, he advised them to concentrate on playing to their strengths in wooing party members.
The controversy surrounding the suspension of Murtala Yakubu, a state-based member of the APC National Working Committee, follows Mr. Bello’s advice.
In a statement released by Kingsley Fanwo, the commissioner for information and communications, the governor issued a warning against polarizing attitudes that might endanger the party’s interests and threaten the harmony and cooperation that the ruling party had been known for in the state under his leadership.
