Dino Melaye, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate for governor in the upcoming Kogi State governor election, has compared Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike to “an expired drug who is about to be taken off the shelf.”
In the event that the PDP nominates Melaye for governor of Kogi State, Wike had previously declared he wouldn’t support the party.
On Arise TV on Wednesday, Dino Melaye said he wanted to focus on the general election rather than Wike, who was experiencing “post-election trauma.”
“Nyesom Wike is an expired drug who is about to be taken off the shelf,” he declared in response. As a result, I won’t waste my time talking to a politician who is about to step down from office and is still reeling from the election’s aftermath.
“I need to give my election my undivided attention. Focusing on saving the Kogi State population is what I want to do. Additionally, I have no time for those who are impaired by drugs or alcohol.
Melaye continued, saying it does not follow that Wike will demand his liver and kidney just because the latter supported his bid for governor in 2019 from him.
