Ministers must live up to Nigerians’ expectations, says Tinubu

On Monday, President Bola Tinubu urged his just sworn-in ministers to live up to Nigerians’ expectations.

At the inauguration event, which was place in the Conference Hall of the Presidential Villa, Tinubu made this statement while criticising them.

He continued, saying that the ministers had been chosen based on their own experiences to carry on with the task of developing the country, noting that the obstacles in their path might seem “quite frightening” but that the government remained steadfast in its determination to strive for the introduction of a Renewed Hope.

The majority of Nigerians are really hopeful, he added, adding that “it is all about a great squad and I feel we have them here. They have faith in your ability to serve honestly and perform. The President said, “I will hold you accountable.

The President advised the new ministers to remember that their duties began right away and also urged them to revive trust in government so that the governed may have faith in it.

“I sincerely welcome you to the management of Renewed Hope. This is a boat that we are in together; I am the driver. We are driving this car while the entire nation of Nigeria is watching. We must work hard to live up to all Nigerians’ expectations, he insisted.

Among the dignitaries present were the president of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, the speaker of the house of representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, the secretary to the government of the federation, George Akume, and the chief of staff to the president, Femi Gbajabiamila.
