All of the political posts that were shared on Funke Akindele’s Instagram page, a well-known Nollywood actress who is now a politician, have been deleted.
Hours after she lost, Akindele, Abdulazeez Adediran, aka Jandor, who was running for governor of Lagos State under the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, deleted the posts.
It was made clear that none of her campaign rallies or other political events from the election campaign were captured on camera.

This comes after the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, defeated the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the recently held March 18, 2023, gubernatorial elections.
Sanwo Olu received 762,134 votes, defeating Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party, who received 312,329 votes, and Abdul-Azeez Adediran, who received 62,449 votes.
