APC dismisses ex-Gov. Goje over alleged anti-party activities

In a statement to the media in Kashere, the APC Ward Chairman, Tanimu Abdullahi, explained that the party had unanimously decided to expel Goje after determining that he had engaged in anti-party behavior, including failing to attend events such as the Gombe State APC campaign rally presided over by Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the party’s national chairman, and the presidential campaign rally in the State, which was attended by the president-elect and vice president-elect.

According to Abdullahi, the senator was also charged with refusing to participate in any party campaign events held in his Central senatorial zone, Akko federal constituency, State constituency, and ward units.

The committee also discussed Goje’s alleged involvement in socializing with opposition parties and their candidates with the aim of undermining the APC’s success in Gombe State and throughout Nigeria.
He continued, “Open support to opposition party candidates by hosting the NNPP governorship candidate and the PDP Akko candidate for the Federal House of Representatives in his residence and offered support against the interest of his party, the APC, among many other instances.”

Further, Abdullahi claimed that Senator Goje had also engaged in “making pronouncements that undermined the APC administration in the state and sponsoring campaigns of calumny with the aim of inciting the public against the APC administration in the state, among other offenses.

Giving specific instructions to his allies and protégés to work against the APC’s interests in Gombe State by ensuring that only Senator Goje is elected on the APC platform (using the Goje Kawai slogan) and working to defeat other APC candidates at all levels.

Sen. Muhammadu Danjuma Goje will be expelled from the All Progressives Congress for a number of anti-party activities that violate Article 21, Section A, Subsections ii, iii, vi, and vii of the APC constitution, according to the Kashere ward executive council of the APC.
