Peter Obi, the Labour Party, LP’s presidential candidate, is still the clear favorite to succeed Barack Obama as the country’s next leader, according to a new Bloomberg poll conducted just two weeks before the election.
Premise Data Corporation’s survey results for Bloomberg News were released on Friday.
In a race that other front-runners Bola Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress, APC, and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, will fiercely contest, the poll found that two-thirds of respondents said they intended to vote for Obi.

The San Francisco-based Premise claimed to have conducted a smartphone app survey of 2,384 Nigerians from January 26 to February 4; submissions were chosen from quotas established by age, gender, and location across the country’s six geopolitical zones.
Bloomberg added that in order to ensure national representation, the results were weighted in comparison to the initial quotas.
In the poll’s results, Obi received 66% of the votes from those who had already made up their minds, while Tinubu received 18% and Atiku received 10%.
Obi received 47% of the undecided vote; Tinubu received 27%; and Atiku received 9%.
According to Bloomberg, 66% of those who said they had already made up their minds about their vote for Obi.

Recall that in an earlier Premise poll conducted by Bloomberg in September as the official election campaign began, Obi received a slightly higher 72% of the respondents who were decided.
