In order to fulfill his mandate and realize the aspirations of all officers and men in the force, Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, or IGP, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, says he is dedicated to transforming the national narrative of the police force.
When the IGP went to the Police Headquarters in Adamawa to offer his condolences for the loss of one of its finest, Inspector Jacob Daniel, who died a few days ago after being attacked by some military officers, he made the promise.
During his visit, he also shared his vision for policing with the officers and asked them to share it with others, emphasizing the importance of their cooperation and support for him to build the police force of their dreams in Nigeria.
The police boss stated that the administration’s objective for policing is to create a police force that is professionally competent, service-driven, compliant with the rule of law, and citizen-friendly, all while praising the good work and sacrifices made by the Adamawa State Command.

He made the men and police officers aware of the current government’s fervent commitment to the welfare of law enforcement throughout the nation.

Inspector Jacob Daniel, who was serving as the quota guide at the Police headquarters in Adamawa State, was killed in an attack on the premises by a group of unstable soldiers, which the Inspector General of Police denounced.
He said that Boko Haram and terrorists were responsible for the attack’s manner.

According to him, justice will be served because the method in which he was killed has reached the highest level of authorities.
