A 27-year-old man has been taken into custody by the Gombe State Police Command on suspicion of defiling a five-year-old child in the Pindiga community of the state’s Akko Local Government.
While parading the suspect and others in Gombe on Tuesday, ASP Buhari Abdullahi, the command spokesperson, announced this.
According to Abdullahi, the suspect reportedly perpetrated the crime by luring the victim to his parlor.
He claims that once the girl was brought to the hospital for medical attention, a physician verified that she had been violated.
The PPRO added that the suspect was the subject of a report against him at the Pingiga police station on December 15 at approximately 8:30 a.m.
According to him, the suspect allegedly had sex with the 5-year-old after luring her to his house.
However, the aforementioned person was taken into custody once the complaint was received.

“For medical treatment and a doctor’s confirmation, the victim was taken to Cottage Hospital immediately,” he stated.
According to the police image maker, the suspect confessed to the alleged crime throughout the course of the inquiry and will face charges in court.
