Attoni highlighted the teams that are taking part, which include eight from Rivers, three from Lagos, one from Nasarawa, and two each from Adamawa, Plateau, Kano, and Katsina.

The teams are divided into three groups: low, medium, and high goal.

The TY Danjuma Cup, Alfred Diette Spiff Cup, TJT Princewill Cup, and Governor’s Cup are the four trophies they will be vying for.

“Winners and runners-up will receive trophies, medals, and individual prizes, and sponsors and individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of polo in Nigeria will also receive recognition,” he continued.

According to Attoni, who is also the Port Harcourt Polo Club’s vice president, games would be played every day from midday to six o’clock.

In the meantime, Ikenna Nebolisa, the captain of the Port Harcourt Polo Club, said he was confident his squad was prepared to play.
