Plateau: APC praises Dafaan over appeal court victory

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Plateau chapter has congratulated John Dafaan on his Court of Appeal victory as the incoming member for the Shendam/Qua’an-Pan/Mikang Federal Constituency.

On Friday, the Court of Appeal in Abuja declared Dafaan the winner and void the election of PDP Representative Isaac Kwallu.

In a statement released in Jos on Tuesday, APC’s Publicity Secretary, Mr. Sylvanus Namang, said that Dafaan’s victory was justifiable.

According to Namang, Dafaan, the former chief of staff of former governor Simon Lalong, was trusted by the APC to provide his constituents with competent representation.

He praised the decision made by the appeals court, calling it a historic triumph.

“The court has, in fact, depicted the judiciary as a sacred temple of justice with this just, resolute, and unanimous ruling.

Its stance is a wise decision that will safeguard and maintain the independence and integrity of the court.

Despite some nefarious attempts to use many misguided smear campaigns, the judiciary has not been subjected to an unnecessary social media trial.

“In every way, the ruling is historic, sound, and unprecedented.

Despite all the innuendos and blackmail, the judges stood very tall and powerful in their choices, he emphasized. “To put it mildly, the judgment is a page-turning development in the annals of our jurisprudence.”
