As the crucial National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in February 2025 draws near, Engr. Conrad Terhide Utaan, a candidate for the PDP’s National Chairmanship, has urged party members to stand together.
Writing to party members, Utaan conveyed his sincere appreciation for the tremendous amount of support he has received since announcing his candidacy.
“Your support has strengthened my desire to serve, and I’m still dedicated to preserving the ideals and principles that characterize our wonderful party,” he said.
Utaan called the decision to call the NEC meeting “a step in the right direction” and supported the resolutions adopted at a significant gathering in Plateau State.
He commended the National Working Committee, headed by Acting National Chairman Ambassador Umar Damagum, the PDP Governors’ Forum, the Board of Trustees, and other party organs for their contributions to stabilizing and advancing the party and called for meaningful stakeholder consultations to strengthen the party and promote unity.

Utaan said, “Your leadership and selfless service are commendable.”
The candidate stressed that cooperation and unity are essential to the party’s success and urged party members to be patient and unwavering throughout the current leadership selection process.
He went on to say, “Unity and collaboration are the only ways we can get to our destination at this crucial time for the PDP,” expressing hope for the party’s future.
Utaan further emphasized the PDP’s history as a representation of inclusivity and democracy. He underlined how crucial it is to respect the party’s seniors’ wisdom while utilizing the youth’s vigor.
He ended by saying, “Let’s reaffirm our commitment to creating a future that is full of justice, hope, and prosperity for everyone.”
As the PDP continues on its transformative journey, the February NEC conference is expected to be a crucial turning point in determining its future.
