PDP Candidate Demands Umahi’s Immediate Resignation

Iduma Igariwey, the PDP’s candidate for governor of Ebonyi State, asked incumbent Dave Umahi to step down on Thursday.

Umahi’s claim to the governorship seat after defecting from the PDP to the APC was declared illegal by a Federal High Court in Abuja (APC).

Court ordered PDP to name a replacement.

Mr Umahi has appealed the court’s decision.

Mr Igariwey, a member of the House of Representatives, wants the INEC to issue him and his proposed deputy, Mr Fred Udeogu, a certificate of return immediately.

He expressed concern that two days after the court order, Governor Umahi was still posing as Governor.
