Controversial singer, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley has disclosed that his younger brother’s name is Babatunde Fashola.

Marley’s reaction trails claim by the Chairman Executive Jet Services, Sam Iwuajoku, that he mistook the musician for the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola.

Iwuajoku stated this in a letter dated June 15 and addressed to the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, to apologise for the flight after the firm’s licence was suspended by the Federal Government on Monday.

“When I went through the manifest and I saw Fashola Babatunde I thought it was the Honourable Minister of works going to Abuja with his men, so we decided to do the flight since it is a serving minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I didn’t know that it was a bunch of useless people,” he said.

Marley, reacting in a tweet on Tuesday, said while his real name is Afeez, his brother is Babatunde.

The musician, however, vowed never to patronise “useless” Executive Jets.

“Lool they asked for our names on the jet though and looooooooool ur pilot is a Marlian and everybody there is a Marlian too.. my name is Azeez Adeshina Fashola and my lil brothers name is Moshood Babatunde Fashola.

“Do you know that over 20,000 Marlians travel with executive jet a month. We won’t be using ur useless airline again for calling us useless. Thank God we didn’t crash on that flight sha because we nearly did. BTW We didn’t book the flight ourselves.”

He noted that in the forest, “a lion or a tiger kills only when it is hungry and it doesn’t kill all animals, it only kills the one it can eat at a time”.

“But what we see here is that bandits come to town, spray bullets, kill indiscriminately for no purpose and no reason whatsoever, like the recent massacre of people at Faskari and parts of Dandume local government area”.

He lamented that the bandits “just killed the people”, querying how human beings “behave the way an animal cannot behave?”
