Enone 2023: Aida loses own LG, Ogbadibo to LP candidate

The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency election, Aida Nath Ogwuche, has lost her own local government, Ogbadibo to the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Ralph Otobo.

The LP candidate won the local government with 6,080 votes while Aida Nath came second with 6, 055 votes.

Philip Agbese of the All Progressives Congress (APC) finished third with 4,857 votes.

Below is the breakdown the of House Representatives results in Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State:

Meanwhile, the APC candidate, Philip Agbese earlier won his own local government, Ado with about 5,000 margin.

The APC candidate won the local government with 7,905 votes while the PDP’s Aida Nath came second with 3,124 votes.

The Labour Party candidate, Ralph Otobo, got 2,782 votes in Ado.

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency election, Chief Philip Agbese, has won with a wide margin in Ado local government.

The APC candidate won the local government with 7,905 votes while the PDP’s Aida Nath came second with 3,124 votes.

In Taraba, Peter Obi defeats Gov Ishaku in polling unit

Governor Darius Dickson’s hopes of handing over his voting district in the state’s Takum Local Government Council to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar have proven to be a mirage.

After sorting through the results, it was discovered that the PDP presidential candidate was lagging behind the Labour Party presidential candidate.

The presidential candidate of the PDD received 64 votes, while Peter Obi was reported to have received 211 votes.
The LP Presidential candidate was also seen to be in the lead outside of the polling unit in the state.

Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, the Emir of Kano, is stationed at Kofar Kwaru Islamiyya, where Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the NNPP’s presidential candidate, has won that voting unit.

Before stealing one Bimodal Voter Accreditation System for polling units 11 and 12 at Oniong West Ward 1 in the state’s Onna Local Government Area, hoodlums believed to be supporters of a political party in Akwa Ibom State cut matchets on two voters.

The victims were rushed to a hospital in the LGA, where they were receiving treatment, according to a source who asked to remain anonymous and who spoke to our correspondent.

One BVAS was hijacked by some hoodlums who broke into units 11 and 12 at Oniong West Ward 1 in the state’s Onna Local Government Area, according to the source. Two of their victims received matchet cuts before they fled into the bush.“The victims have been taken to the hospital in Onna LGA for treatment.”
The chairman of Onna LGA, Mr Iniabasi Ekanem, who confirmed the incident, however, said the incident was being handled by the security agencies.

“We have little issues, we expected it but it depends on the way we manage it. The security officers stationed in the area helped to quell the situation.

While calling on Independent National Electoral Commission to extend the voting time due to the malfunctioned BVAS.
When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Odiko MacDon denied the incident.

Atiku defeats Peter Obi’s running mate in polling unit

Datti Baba-Ahmed, the vice presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), has fallen behind Atiku Abubakar in his electoral district (PDP).

There were 277 registered voters in polling unit 021, which is in the Tudun Wada ward of Zaria LGA, Kaduna state.

The PDP received 102 votes in order to win the voting unit, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) received 98 votes in second place.

With 54 votes, the LP finished third, and the NNPP received 11 votes.

Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has lost the presidential election in the Angwarimi Ward, GRA A1, LERCEST Office in Keffi, Nasarawa State to the Labour Party.
Peter Obi of the Labour Party won the unit with 132 votes, while the APC received 85 votes for second place. Senatorial: APC (55), PDP (22), LP (42), NNPP (4), SDP (184), ADC (1), and ZLP (3); seven votes were counted as invalid (7).

APC (46), PDP (41), LP (30), NNPP (4), AA (21), SDP (159), ADC (2), and APGA (1) won the most seats in the House of Representatives, while 16 votes were deemed invalid (16).

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has made his speech for the All Progressives Congress in Ward I, Polling Unit 14, Egunrege, Ikenne, Ogun State (APC).

After his unit was moved from Lagos State, Osinbajo cast his first vote in his rural Ikenne home.
APC received 33 votes for the presidency, 39 for the Senate, and 32 for the House of Representatives at the voting unit. The Labour Party received nine votes for the presidency and none for the Senate or the House of Representatives.

Tinubu defeats Peter Obi, Atiku in Obasanjo polling unit

In the voting district where former president Olusegun Obasanjo supported Peter Obi, the Labour Party candidate, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has triumphed.

Ateokuta North LG of Ogun State, Unit 2, Ward 11, Olushomi compound, Totoro – Sokori area, Tinubu received 56 votes, Obi received nine, and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), seven.

Only 91 of the 693 registered voters were eligible to vote.

Nobody in Ogun could depend on Obasanjo to become governor or a council member, according to Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the spokesman for the APC Presidential Campaign Council, after Obasanjo endorsed Obi last month.

In a statement, Onanuga said: “From our records, President Obasanjo has not successfully made anyone win an election in Nigeria since then.

“Not even in Ogun State can anyone rely on his support or endorsement to become a governor or councillor.

“We pity Peter Obi as we are confident that Chief Obasanjo cannot win his polling unit and ward in Abeokuta for Obi in the coming Presidential election on 25 February 2023.”
