Governor of Kano State Abdullahi Umar Ganduje stated that he has no resentments toward anyone during his eight years in office.

Malam Muhammad Garba, the commissioner for information and internal affairs, released the governor’s Sallah message in Kano yesterday. In it, the governor expressed his gratitude to Allah for allowing him to serve as the state’s governor for more than 20 years and his desire to step down without any unresolved issues.

The statement claims that the governor also renewed his request for people he may have offended in the course of leading the state to beg for forgiveness.

According to Governor Ganduje, those who wronged him should forgive him in return because he had already done so.

The declaration urged the new administration to see that all worthwhile projects started by his administration but postponed for lack of time are completed for the benefit of the state’s citizens.

He added that continuity was key in government and that no project funded by tax dollars was worth quitting.

The Kogi State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Josiah Joe Majebi, established an anti-fraud system to clean up the state judiciary, particularly the High Court of Justice. As a result, the state judiciary has discovered the syndicate responsible for issuing fake enrolment orders.

This action, which was in line with the state’s Council of Judges’ vision, has already started to produce exceptional results as previously hidden dealings in the high court system are revealed.

Justice Majebi has ordered that the police look into the perpetrators after learning that a syndicate was responsible for issuing court Enrolment Orders to the general public.

According to preliminary investigations, Court Enrolment Orders were being issued without going through the required procedure of a formal request to the court for the issuance of the same by recipients.

High Court, Jubril Oladimeji Ibrahim, the crime—which may have been ongoing for some time—was discovered thanks to the diligent work of the Chief Judge’s keen detective apparatus, which was used to look for suspicious activity involving the state’s administration of justice among the system’s users and the general public.

He claimed that the public and institution staff were unaware of the deployment of the mechanisms.

Investigations have shown that the syndicate, which has been predominately operating in Lokoja, the state capital, has its tentacles spread throughout the state and specializes in forging and issuing documents that are purportedly issued by the court.

He claimed that the breakthrough came about as a result of the Chief Judge’s quick response to the heinous act and the necessary steps that were taken to prosecute those responsible.

According to the CR, this prompted the invitation of Tenimu Muhammed, a former president of the Upper Area Court I, Lokoja, who is now an assistant director in his office. He is currently being tried for misconduct before the state’s Judicial Service Commission. He is said to have granted and approved an enrolled order that was made without any formalities or applications.

Police have detained and are looking into two additional High Court employees, Abdullahi Adams and Umar Muhammed.

Following this development, the Chief Judge issued a warning to all members of the judicial branch of government, stressing the importance of the Council of Judges’ mission to restore the institution’s integrity and sanctity and urging them to refrain from any actions that might damage their reputations or those of the judiciary.
