Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 election, met with Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), at the London home of Momodu on Tuesday.

According to reports, the seasoned journalist and politician celebrated his birthday with his family, friends, and Tobi Adegboyega, a celebrity pastor.

Dele Momodu published a video of the occasion on his Instagram page, in which he narrated how Peter Obi barged into his house to take part in the birthday celebration.

He made the observation that everyone was thrilled to see the former governor of Anambra State attending the event in the same modest and unassuming manner as he always does.

At the birthday party, Peter Obi is said to have talked with Tobi, who is based in the UK, as well as some of Obi’s other friends, according to Dele.

A number of dishonest consultants and imposters of commission employees, according to Lagos Safety Commission Director-General Lanre Mojola, have been put in check.

Therefore, Mojola urged the public to report the activities of any dishonest official and consultant they may know. He also revealed that legal actions were already being taken against those who had been apprehended.

According to him, the commission is in charge of overseeing risk assessment reports, issuing and revoking certificates of overall safety compliance, conducting investigations into safety-related problems and making recommendations as needed, and coordinating all government activities pertaining to the protection of people and property in the state.

Prior to May 29, the Incorporated Trustees of Advocacy for Societal Rights Advancement and Development Initiative have demanded an investigation and subsequent prosecution of President-elect Bola Tinubu.

This was stated in a “Affidavit of Urgency” in support of an ex parte motion filed with the Federal High Court in Abuja.

In its main case, the group asked the court for permission to apply for an order compelling the Inspector General of Police to investigate Tinubu’s alleged perjury regarding his alleged Guinean citizenship and to order his prosecution if found guilty.

Adeogun added that attitudes that have the potential to harm the OPC’s reputation in the state were a factor in Oguntade’s removal, along with that of Lateef Babalola, the state commandant.

He claimed that the National Executive Council and National Coordinating Council, the organization’s two highest decision-making bodies, approved their removal, and that this decision is still in effect.

We cannot close our eyes to the numerous unethical actions of the former coordinator of the OPC in the state, he asserted.

“Comrade Rotimi Olumo’s removal as the OPC’s Oyo state coordinator is no longer news.

“The NEC/NCC decided to fire him after it became clear that he had engaged in organizational malpractices.

“He further dug his own grave by insisting that he was still the state’s OPC coordinator while raising his voice in the media that he had been fired from his position without providing any proof.

Such actions were unethical, and they only served to highlight his extreme desperation.

That is the level of his desperation, and the OPC as a socio-cultural organization will never permit such desperate people to lead the organization, according to Adeogun, who questioned why Olumo continued to parade himself as the coordinator despite being fired.

The scribe went on to say that the OPC in Oyo State is still operational and that all of the organization’s activities there are smoothly coordinated.

“OPC is not about a particular person. It is a company that has persevered through many difficulties, particularly during the lean years of the military. We therefore have a national perspective, and the organization’s leadership has effectively coordinated our activities and organizational structure, ” he said.
