Tinubu’s Loyalist, MC Oluomo organized thugs to Abuja in case decision of Presidential Election Tribunal does not favour Tinubu

0

In case the decision of the Presidential Election Tribunal does not favor President Bola Tinubu, the Lagos State Parks Management Committee, chaired by Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, has mobilized some goons to be on standby.

Members of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee are among the criminals that MC Oluomo sent to Abuja.

In a video clip that was obtained, MC Oluomo and other people can be seen waiting in the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) office in Abuja for the Tribunal to rule on the petitions filed in opposition to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) declaration of Tinubu as the election’s victor.
According to reports, none of the three candidates for president currently engaged in a legal battle before the Presidential Election Tribunal in Abuja—President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party—were present when the tribunal delivered its decision on Wednesday.

A sizable crowd of plaintiffs, attorneys, and other interested parties have descended on the court ahead of the Presidential Election Petitions Court’s (PEPC) final ruling on the petitions submitted in opposition to Tinubu’s election, which is scheduled for this Wednesday morning.

Vice President Shettima, President Femi Gbajabiamila’s chief of staff, Ganduje, and the governors of Imo and Kogi states, Hope Uzodinma and Yahaya Bello, were among the members of the ruling party in the courtroom.

The PDP’s acting national chairman, Umar Damagun, and Abure represented the opposition.

In March, it was also reported that MC Oluomo had warned Igbo people to stay indoors during Saturday’s governorship election in Lagos if they did not want to support the candidates of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

This was demonstrated in a widely shared video of a Tinubu supporter urging their Igbo neighbors not to bother going to the polls on election day if they wanted to vote for candidates other than the flagbearers of the ruling party.

Meanwhile, MC Oluomo has stated in the open that Tinubu is his owner.

MC Oluomo claimed in an Instagram post from October 2018 that Tinubu owned him and the APC and that he would support whatever Tinubu desired.

He declared on his Instagram account, “I am an Asiwaju Bola Ahmend Tinubu Jagaban loyalist, I wear the Jagaban jersey, I’ve been a loyalist since 1999, the first Mecca I went is through his execellence in the year 2000, moreover, he as done alot for me, he made me who i am today. Our relationship has been very cordial and strong in the area that I grew up in.

As a result, I am one of his supporters who has a tremendous faith in him. He owns the party, and I, Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya Mc oloumo, belong everywhere his interests are. Because his administration continues to operate under the watchful eye of the party’s national leader, my community in Oshodi and I previously supported HE Akinwunmi Ambode for a second term. However, in this instance, I must now obey Bola Ahmend Tinubu’s interests and the party’s choice.

“Things will go as planned if Asiwaju Bola Ahmend Tinubu once more declares that Babajide Sanwoolu is no longer in office.”

Breaking: PEPT strikes out some portions of Obi’s claim of irregularities, corrupt practices

0

Some of the allegations of irregularities and corrupt practices made by Peter Obi in his petition contesting the declaration of Bola Tinubu as the winner of the February 25 presidential election have been deleted by a five-member Presidential Election Petition Tribunal led by Justice Haruna Tsammani.

On the basis that they were “vague, imprecise, nebulous and failed to meet the requirements of pleadings,” Justice Abba Mohammed, who is reading the lead judgment, struck out the relevant passages.
Justice Mohammed ruled on the preliminary objections made by INEC, Tinubu, and the APC, holding that “averments” must not be vague or ambiguous and that the purpose of pleadings is to inform respondents of the relevant facts so that they can prepare properly.
The PEPC emphasized that in a case involving claimed irregularities in more than 500 polling places, it is insufficient for the petitioners to generalize about a few polling places or collation centers.

Mohammed ruled that “averments must not be generic but precise” and that “petitioners failed to mention polling units where anomalies occurred or where agents complained of alleged malpractice and irregularities.
In addition, PEPC emphasized that not a single voting place was named among the total of over 18,000 polling places where the petitioners claimed INEC uploaded “blurred results” to the INEC Results Viewing (IReV) Portals.

They failed to identify polling places where the results of the election were not uploaded or where Tinubu’s score was increased or decreased.

The tribunal found that “they did not show the majority of votes they claimed they had scored,” adding that the petitioners merely make general claims of irregularities and malpractices.

It is inconceivable that a petitioner would claim widespread rigging across over 8,000 wards, 774 LGAs, 36 States, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) without identifying the precise location where the claimed irregularities take place.

Mohammed further criticized the petitioners for basing their arguments on spreadsheet analysis, inspection findings, and expert assessments.

Such materials, in Mohammed’s opinion, should be provided to the respondents so they can conduct their own research and provide appropriate responses.

The spreadsheet report, inspection findings, and expert reports were not served; instead, they were only mentioned as papers that would be considered in deciding the petition, the court ruled.

Breaking: Presidential election tribunal dismisses 25% FCT vote requirement

The petition claimed that in order for presidential candidates to be considered the election’s winners, they must receive 25% of the votes cast in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). However, the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, which is based in Abuja, has disregarded this claim.

According to reports, the tribunal’s chief justice, Justice Haruna Simon Tsammani, ruled on September 6, 2023, that the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has no special status and is on par with the other states in Nigeria.

The decision was reached in response to a plea that President Bola Tinubu’s election had been contested by the Labour Party and Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate. Because Tinubu did not receive 25% of the votes cast in the FCT, Obi had contended that he should be disqualified from serving as president.

Breaking: Tribunal declares PDP’s Natasha Akpoti winner of Kogi central senatorial poll

Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been proclaimed the victor of the February 25, 2023 Kogi Central Senatorial election by the electoral petition tribunal sitting in Lokoja, Kogi State.

According to reports, Justice K.A. Orjiakoin, the tribunal’s chairman, issued the decision on June 8, 2023.

According to him, Abubakar Sadiku-Ohere of the All Progressives Congress (APC) came in second place with 51,291 votes, while Akpoti-Uduaghan won the race with a total of 54,064 votes.

Additionally, the tribunal ruled that Sadiku-Ohere must pay N500,000 to Akpoti-Uduaghan as the petition’s expenses.

Breaking: Tribunal Gives Verdict on Shettima’s Nomination as Tinubu’s Running Mate

0

FCT Abuja – The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) petitioned against Kashim Shettima’s selection as Vice President Bola Tinubu’s running mate, but the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja has denied it. Because Shettima was already a candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Borno Central Senatorial District, the APM urged the court to exclude both Shettima and President Tinubu from the 2023 presidential election. In any case, the president proposed him.
Justice Haruna Tsammani decided during the hearings, which Legit.ng was watching, that Shettima’s candidacy could only be contested by APC candidates running for the vice president’s office.
After consulting with the other justices on the panel, Haruna Simon Tsammani gave the verdict. They are Justices Abba Bello Mohammed, Justice Stephen Jonah Adah, Justice Mistura Bolaji-Yusuf, and Justice Boloukuoromo Moses Ugo. Because the APC’s petition was not filed during the designated window for filing election-related cases and was already heard in another court, it is regarded as an abuse of the legal system.
The APM lacked the locus standi to contest Shettima’s selection as the All Progressives Congress (APC) vice presidential candidate for the 2023 election, according to Justice Tsamman.
At the hearing on Wednesday in Abuja, four attorneys spoke on behalf of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) filed a lawsuit with the case number CA/PEPC/04/2023 to challenge Tinubu’s election on the grounds that Shettima and the APC’s vice presidential candidate were both nominated twice.

the site was heavily guarded as political heavyweights arrived.

But judging by the fact that they were seen carrying placards with diverse inscriptions, protesters appeared to have bucked the tight security before the tribunal.

An inscription on one of the banners, held by a woman wearing a hijab, said, “Asiwaju on your mandate we stand.”

In a same vein, eccentric entertainer Charly Boy has urged Peter Obi’s followers to seize Abuja while the tribunal issues its ruling on the 2023 presidential election.

INEC begins PVC collection in Kogi, Bayelsa, Imo

0

Before the governorship elections on November 11 in Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo states, the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has resumed collecting Permanent Voter Cards PVCs in those states.

Sam Olumekun, National Commissioner and Chairman of INEC’s Information and Voter Education Committee, made this revelation in a statement released on Tuesday in Abuja.

He stated, “As part of our ongoing preparations for the upcoming off-cycle governorship elections in the states of Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi, the Commission has approved the resumption of the collection of Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) for registered voters who were unable to do so before the exercise was suspended on February 5, 2023, in advance of the previous general election. The current activity exclusively pertains to the three States where the Saturday, November 11, 2023, governorship elections will take place.

“All of our Local Government area offices in the three States—eight in Bayelsa, twenty-seven in Imo, and twenty-one in Kogi—will have PVCs accessible for pickup. The Commission has also established additional designated centers with a significant volume of uncollected PVCs. The Resident Electoral Commissioners in the three States will provide information on all centers.

He claims that for a period of four weeks, from September 11 through October 9, 2023, the Commission has set aside weekdays (Monday through Friday) from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm for the collection of PVCs.

Two resident electoral commissioners (RECs) have been transferred to other States in the interim.

In light of the upcoming off-cycle governorship election, Mr. Obo Effanga, the REC for Edo State, takes over in Bayelsa State, according to Olumekun, while Professor Ayobami Salami relocates from Ekiti State to Lagos.

Following the expiration of the terms of the former occupants of the offices, the two States are among those without RECs.

The Commission urges all political parties and candidates to behave peacefully and to refrain from saying or doing anything that could disrupt the peace while running for office.

PENGASSAN threatens total shutdown over sale of NAOC, Eni Nigeria

0

… says 3000 native workers will lose their jobs.

In response to the reported sale of Eni Nigeria and Nigerian Agip Oil Company Limited to O and O Plc, the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria has threatened to evict all of its members from field and office sites.

Eyong Survival, the Branch Chairman of Agip Group PENGASSAN in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, gave the notification during a speech on Tuesday.

He scoffed at Oando’s purchase of all of the shares of the Nigerian Agip Oil Company Limited from Eni Nigeria and at Eni Nigeria’s outright selling of its 20% equity stake in the NAOC JV to O and O without consulting or alerting the union.

When news of the sale of NAOC JV assets to O and O became public, he said the union held a meeting with the company’s management, but the managing director apparently denied that such a scheme existed.

The sale of NAOC JV, Survival mourned, will force many of its members into the labor market given the difficult economic climate the nation is currently experiencing.

He claims that “The Managing Director of Eni Nigeria, Mr. Fabrizio Bolondi, invited the workforce to a meeting on the 4th of September, 2023, and callously informed us that Eni has sold its 20% equity share in NAOC JV, consisting of OML 60, 61, 62, and 63, covering portions of Rivers, Delta, Bayelsa, and Imo States to Oando Nigeria Limited, transferring all her assets and liabilities to O and O,

“It is crucial to emphasize that the Union, who serves as the workers’ representation, was not informed beforehand that the sales deal would begin.

In a meeting with the management on July 12, 2023, the union asked Eni Nigeria management if they had any plans to sell the NAOC JV assets to O and O or any other company. The managing director vehemently denied having any plans to sell the JV assets.

He said, “Instead, the MD delivered presentations on planned injections of IPP phase 2 generated power into the national grid, as well as potential government conversion of OPL 245 to OML.

“Over 3000 indigenous workers may be forced into the labor market as a result of the news of the sale of NAOC JV assets to OANDO, as the specifics of their sales transaction were not disclosed.

The heartless declaration made by the MD of Eni Nigeria has caused a lot of NAOC employees to suddenly experience certain health issues.

“The union’s position is that Eni Management must follow the law. Until an appropriate deal is achieved with Eni Nigeria and AGIP Group PENGASSAN, the Union has ordered a complete withdrawal of all of its members from all offices and field locations of the firm.

“By that withdrawal move, gas supply to Indoranma has been impacted, daily oil production on 30,000 nbbls of crude oil has been discontinued, about 10mscf of LNG gas to NLNG has been cut off, and approximately 350MW of Okpai IPP electricity has been shut down to the national grid.”

Furthermore, Survival claimed that the management had evacuated all Italian expatriates from field areas before the unexpected news of the NAOC JV sale.

Breaking: Kwankwaso’s Camp Reacts After NNPP fired Ex-Presidential Candidate, Reveals Next Step

FCT Abuja – On Tuesday, September 5, Ladipo Johnson, a supporter of Rabiu Kwankwaso, the New Nigeria Peoples Party’s (NNPP) presidential candidate, expressed disapproval over rumors that the former governor of Kano state had been kicked out of the party by a section. According to Johnson, the NNPP’s national auditor, Major Agbo’s side, which ousted Kwankwaso, lacks the authority to reinstate the former governor.

He promised that Kwankwaso’s camp would soon be having a press conference to address the matter.

“Expel who? These people are no longer our people. They are out of the party and cannot speak on behalf of the party. Let them form their own party or go to court. It is as simple as that. There are so many important things to worry about in this country. “How can they expel Kwankwaso? Someone whose relationship with the National Working Committee is intact here at the national headquarters in Abuja? We will soon be having a press conference to address this matter.
