I’m watching over, not controlling Rivers affairs- Fubara

0

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has assured that he will make a difference with the sterling leadership that is being provided as a watcher over the affairs of the State and not as one who merely craves for absolute power to control the people of the State.

Fubara explained that those who seek absolute control get obsessed with power, become ruthless and delightfully trample on the rights and liberty of people they should ordinarily dedicate themselves to serve.

He added that he will continue to watch over the affairs of the state entrusted in his care with the fear of God, and make Rivers people truly proud of his time of service.

He gave the assurance on Sunday at the Child dedication service in honour of the family of Mr and Mrs Henry Wordu at the Royal House of Grace International Church in Rumueme Community, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Nelson Chukwudi, and sent to newsmen.

He said, “For us, by the special grace of God, He has placed us, today, to watch over the affairs, not to control, but watch over the affairs of this State. I am not controlling, but watching the affairs and I will watch through the fear of God.

“I will watch, understanding that one day, I will leave and account for the way I had watched over the affairs for all of us. It’s when you are of the mind of controlling power, that you will become obsessed. But when you are watching, you know that one day, you will leave and another will take over.

“So, I will watch with the fear of God, and I will make every one of you proud. I will make a difference in leadership, and that difference will be to give everybody the opportunity to be free in this State,” he added.

Fubara expressed appreciation to the church for its fervent prayers, which is the reason why his administration is still standing strong and daring to implement impactful policies and programmes that advance the progress and growth of the State.

The governor said no single man is more powerful than God to thwart divine purpose because, according to him, the hearts of kings are willed to any direction by God to do His bidding.

Fubara asserted that no administration in the State has ever been subjected to the ordeals it is experiencing but stressed that the confidence to pull through is rooted in the spirit to stand in the strength of God continually.

He emphasised, “No man is more powerful than God. And even the heart of that wicked and heartless man or whatever you want to call it, is even in the palm of God’s hand.

“It’s like a water that God turns in directions He wants. So, it’s only God that will continue to help us. And I know that He will lead us to a successful end.”

“And I am here to say thank you, first for all your prayers. A good number of you don’t even know me, have not seen me and have not had any personal contact with me, but from the time God showed His mercy upon us, you have always prayed for us, wished us well, and God has always answered your prayers.

“We are only standing because of your prayers. What we have gone through in this State, no previous government had gone through it. But it is only God that has made us still standing. Not just standing, but standing in the strength of God.

“It is only God and God alone. Without God, it won’t and will never be possible. So, I want to thank the Almighty God for showing His mercy, His grace that none of us even merit, but He poured it on us abundantly.”

Fubara explained that he was at the church service to identify with Mr Wordu, who is a wonderful and great personality, and also to be part of the dedication of their baby to God.

The governor noted that the beginning of the life of any child is better started from the altar of God in the act of dedication, making pronouncements and friends making the promise to join in the upbringing, provision of spiritual guidance and physically tend the child to grow into a responsible adult.

He noted, “So, we are here to join everyone to make the promise that we will continue to pray for this baby. We will physically support the upbringing of this child in the fear of God and the understanding of the workings of God in the lives of everyone.

“Nothing happens without God. He is a perfect designer. Before anything happens, He knows the end from the beginning. He already knows where he is going. It’s important you understand who a successful father is. A successful father is not measured by wealth, money or houses but when you are surrounded by worthy children.

“So, my prayer is that this baby will grow to bring honour to the Henry family; to bring honour to this church; to bring honour to this State; and bring honour to our country, Nigeria.”

Urging the church to continue to pray for his administration because God has already taken charge, Fubara said God truly liberates the state and its people.

The governor, while assuring of upholding what is right and just for the interest of the State, on behalf of the State Government, donated the sum of N100 million support to the church.

Also speaking at the event, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, noted that Fubara means well for the State, adding that he will continue to make progress in his governance over Rivers State.

Musa also noted the huge defence task undertaken by the Nigerian military to ensure sustained security of the country and assured that they will not relent in that responsibility.

In his speech, General Overseer of the Royal House of Grace International Church, Zilly Aggrey, said no plan can ever understand the plans of God and how He accomplishes them.

Aggrey added that this is why God will continue to make detractors dumbfounded by the successes Fubara has recorded within one year in office.

The youths urged the deposed emir to forgive his enemies.

The forum in a statement issued on Sunday by its President, Nuhu Magaji, saluted and hailed the monarch’s commitment to the progress and development of the state even in the face of adversity.

Magaji also commended the traditional ruler for his unwavering dedication to the peace and progress of the state, describing him as a symbol of stability.

The statement read, “As the Muslim Ummah celebrates the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Adha, the Arewa Youth Advancement Forum wishes to extend its warmest felicitations to His Highness Emir Ado Bayero.

“Despite the recent unfortunate events, we stand in solidarity with Emir Bayero, a symbol of peace, progress, and stability. His wise leadership and vision have been a shining example to our generation.

“Emir Bayero’s dedication to the emirate and the state is unwavering, and his legacy continues to inspire us. We recognise his tireless efforts to promote unity, understanding, and progress in Kano and beyond. His door has always been open to the people, offering guidance and support in times of need.

“His leadership and counsel are now more crucial than ever, and we implore him to remain a beacon of hope and inspiration to our generation.

“We call on all Kano citizens to remain peaceful and united, working together for the greater good of our state. Let us celebrate Eid al-Adha with love, kindness, and compassion, emulating the virtues of Emir Bayero.”

This came following the reinstatement of Muhammed Sanusi II as the 16th emir of Kano by the State Governor, Abba Yusuf last month after he was deposed.

It is Oluwo that has power to install Olubadan, not governor – Ladoja

0

A former governor of Oyo State and the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, High Chief Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, has declared that it is the Oluwo that has the power to install the Olubadan of Ibadanland and not the governor.
Ladoja made this declaration while addressing journalists on Sunday.
He faulted Governor Seyi Makinde over his comments on the health status of the Olubadan designate, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.
He said the governor was wrong for saying that Olakulehin would be enthroned when he is fit to be Olubadan.
Ladoja stressed that only Ibadan people can enthrone the Olubadan.
He added that Makinde can only present staff of office and instrument of office to the Olubadan designate, not enthroning him.
“It is only the Oluwo that install the Olubadan and not the governor. The governor can only present staff of office and instrument of office.
“As far as I am concerned, Olakulehin is our Olubadan. The role of the governor is to present staff of office and instrument of office.
“It is not the governor that will install him. The governor might have access to medical records of Olakulehin’s health, or send his doctors to access his health or use artificial intelligence to do that.
“I don’t have any problem if the governor refuse to give him staff of office or instrument of office, but he is not the one to enthrone him.
“Olakulehin is an aged man, we didn’t expect him to still be acting like a youth.”
It is Oluwo that has power to install Olubadan, not governor – Ladoja

I have lost respect for Finidi, says Osimhen

0

Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, has lashed out at coach Finidi George, stating that he has lost respect for him, over some comments on his attitude towards the national team.

Finidi, who is said to have also resigned as the head coach of the Super Eagles on Saturday, was quoted to have said he can’t beg Osimhen to play for the national team after the player withdrew from their last two 2026 World Cup qualifiers due to injury.

The striker was said to have been ruled out by a four-week injury and was replaced by Enugu Rangers defender, Kenneth Igboke.

But following the Super Eagles wobbling performances against South Africa and Benin Republic, the narrative of Osimhen’s absence changed as an online medium (not The According) reported that Finidi used Osimhen’s absence as a poser for the players’ bad attitude towards the national team when he and the Nigeria Football Federation chiefs met with the Sports Minister, John Enoh, in Abuja on Wednesday.

Osimhen was apparently infuriated by the comments and, in a live Instagram video on Saturday opened up on the circumstances that led to his withdrawal from the Super Eagles last two World Cup qualifiers, adding that Finidi was adequately briefed by him and his doctor.

“I knew things like these would happen and that’s why I have the videos and screenshots of when I called Finidi while I was with the doctor in Germany,” Osimhen said.

“I got injured in our (Napoli’s) last game against Lecce and I went to the MRI scan. And I called Finidi there for him to listen to the doctor too.

“I called him (Finidi) and asked him to allow me to come to the camp to be with the boys and I spoke to some of my teammates too but he said I have to be with my family.

“I’m not addressing anything, everybody knows I play my heart out whenever I’m playing for the club or national team. I’ll share the screenshot and videos of my conversation with Finidi for the sake of those believing what Finidi said.

“I’ve lost respect for that man because before I disrespect anybody, I always respect them,” the player added

In Finidi’s first game in charge of the Super Eagles, Nigeria were held to a 1-1 draw by South Africa in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, last Friday and a 2-1 defeat against Benin Republic in Abidjan compounded the Super Eagles fate in Group C of the qualifying series, leaving them with just three points after four games.

The former Enyimba coach was said to have resigned from the national team as well, two days after the NFF said they were going to hire a foreign technical adviser.

Benin monarch faults LP candidate Akpata’s ‘son of the palace’ claim

0

The Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty Oba Ewuare II, has publicly corrected Labour Party gubernatorial candidate Olumide Akpata for claiming to be a “son of the Palace”.

Akpata, during a recent meeting with the monarch repeatedly referred to himself as a “son of the Palace” in both English and the local dialect.

The Oba, however, swiftly dismissed his assertions, explaining that he had instructed one of his chiefs to verify Akpata’s claims.

He added that his investigation revealed that Akpata has no direct or distant links to the Palace.

“You are an industrious son of the soil but to say you are a child of the Palace…I am not aware that any of my children is contesting or is a politician.

“So I need to make that clarification for the sake of the public and the fourth estate of the realm,” the Oba clarified.

In response to the Oba’s correction, Akpata acknowledged the distinction, stating that while he might not be a child of the Palace, he is a child of the kingdom.

Following the incident, a member of Akpata’s entourage expressed disappointment with the public rebuke.

He said, “We are not really happy with the manner in which our candidate was rebuked by the Oba for claiming to be the son of the Palace.”

Render and Shiba Inu Down Double Digits, Will Raboo 10x In June?

0

Render (RNDR) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) have been experiencing a decline lately. Both tokens are currently down by two-digit percentages on the 7 day charts, and now investors are cautious about investing in them. However, investors can rely on this unique presale coin, called Raboo (RABT), for a profitable investment, as it keeps breaking presale records, such as raising a whopping $1.7 million from token sales alone.

Interestingly, analysts have also urged many investors to brace up for a potential 10x rally in $RABT this June. Let’s find out how likely this incredible surge in Raboo is, as well as what is making Render and Shiba Inu decline in their respective prices.

Render Struggles: Is the Party Over for GPU Rendering Tokens?

Render (RNDR) is an altcoin based on the Ethereum blockchain,  with a core functionality to streamline the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) usage, which is essential for creating high-quality content, including virtual reality environments, 3D models, and complex graphics designs.

Looking at the monthly charts, Render has experienced poor growth. Render witnessed a 28% dip, decreasing from  $11.46 to a current price of $8.35. As a result of this decline, many investors are now searching for alternatives that have strong potential to rally and can generate more profits than Render.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) Slumps 16% Despite Global Adoption

Shiba Inu is a decentralized and community-driven coin, gaining widespread adoption globally, especially as a major online payment option and has also attracted numerous crypto enthusiasts to its platform.

Although Shiba Inu  gained a significant number of users across the crypto industry,  SHIB still witnessed a strong downtrend over the past month, with the meme token falling by 16%.

As of writing, SHIB  currently trades for $0.0000216 based on data on CoinMarketCap, experts hint at a continued downtrend of the token, supposing there are no significant developments within Shiba Inu’s Ecosystem. .

Community-Driven Meme Coin Raboo Presale Heats Up: AI, 10x Potential & Early Investor Advantage

Out of numerous presales that began in 2024, Raboo (RABT) appears to outperform  them in terms of investor interest and bullish potential. With the aid of its AI-enhanced technology, the meme coin project keeps striving to establish a new era of memes. More interestingly, the presale token  boasts of potential to deliver 10x gains for investors this June, making it a compelling investment choice in the month.

Raboo is driven by a progressive minded and vibrant community,  who are consistently participating in the platform’s activities like submitting their self-made memes, providing feedback on existing memes, and even helping train Raboo’s AI algorithms to better identify and promote the most engaging and viral content. Raboo ensures that this community remains vibrant and engaged by promoting incentives like zero taxes, which means any community member can buy, sell, and transfer $RABT tokens without incurring any additional fees.

The journey of Raboo’s potential multi-fold surge began in Stage 1 of its presale, when it was priced at $0.003. However, the presale token now sells at $0.0048 in its presale Stage 4, marking a 60% increase. According to experts, Raboo, not only has the potential for a 10x surge by June but also the potential to skyrocket by 100 folds after launch.

Conclusion

While some investors may have been disappointed by Render  and Shiba Inu as prices of both RNDR and SHIB  took a nosedive, the new presale coin Raboo (RABT) is piquing investor interest. As a meme coin that can potentially surge 10x in value before month-end, Raboo remains one of the most compelling alternatives for investors looking to capitalize on the current generally bullish crypto market.

Cardano and Stellar Struggle to Keep Up as Investors Flock to New Altcoin

0

Well-known names in the altcoin space, Cardano and Stellar are having serious difficulties as investors shift more and more to a fresh and promising altcoin. The change in investor sentiment highlights how quickly and volatile the digital currency market is, where capital is driven by innovation and the possibility of large profits. Meanwhile, the new sensation that is capturing investors’ attention is Angry Pepe Fork. Let us find out why.

Angry Pepe Fork Tops The Altcoin List Of 50x Coins

Rising from internet culture with the appearance of a battle-ready token, Angry Pepe Fork (APORK) is more than just another altcoin; it is a symbol of defiance. The next 50x Solana-based coin to buy is Angry Pepe Fork, for those who missed the Pepe Coin rally. APORK is unique in that it offers a “Conquer To Earn” feature that rewards players for their bravery in a virtual war.

Angry Pepe Fork tops the altcoin list of 50x coins because of its special approach which gives the investment a gaming component. Promising altcoin Angry Pepe Fork uses the Solana blockchain to provide special features and dynamics driven by the community. Its conquer-to-earn mechanism rewards players who fight zombie meme coins together with free tokens and community recognition.

The token’s appeal and utility are further increased by the remarkable APY rewards that participants can receive starting with the presale. Being the original token of the Angry Pepe Fork ecosystem, APORK provides users with extra advantages and chances for interaction by playing important roles in transactions, governance, and staking.

The first stage of the presale for the APORK token is selling at $0.014 per token. With only 1.9 billion tokens available overall, APORK wants to keep the tokens scarce and ensure that the value keeps rising, maybe hitting $0.5 in the next few months. Offering a profitable APY, staking APORK tokens is a wise addition to users’ portfolios. You wouldn’t want to miss out on the ongoing Angry Pepe Fork presale.

Cardano Price Faces Struggles

At the moment, Cardano (ADA) is trading between $0.42 and $0.49 over the past week and the Cardano price has decreased by 4.16% over the last week. Meanwhile, $0.52 is the closest resistance level, and $0.39 is the closest support level. The RSI and MACD indicate low momentum, pointing to corrective moves rather than impulsive growth, even though the 10-day simple moving average is in close alignment with the current Cardano price.

However, an analyst who goes by the handle Trend Rider has adopted a positive outlook for the Cardano coin. They have discovered a technical pattern that points to a possible trend reversal for the Cardano coin. Trend Rider thinks $0.50 is a crucial breakthrough price. Overcoming this barrier might indicate a dramatic change in direction and possibly start a fresh uptrend for Cardano. Additionally, they have located a buying zone ranging from $0.36 to $0.40.

Stellar Market Cap Increases

The Stellar market cap recently saw a moderate increase of 3.5% which took it to $2.9 billion. Meanwhile, Stellar attempts to connect specific clients based on the core idea of the company. It started in 2014 and the Stellar coin (XLM) is the native currency. Managing billions of transactions and forming important partnerships with MoneyGram, Circle, and Franklin Templeton, Stellar has grown dramatically over a long period.

Currently trading at $0.1, the Stellar coin is almost 88% below its 2018 ATH price of $0.8756 and 22,219.7% above the ATL level of $0.0004761 since March 2015. Meanwhile, Stellar is in 37th place and its current market capitalization still shows a 21% increase from the previous year.

Summary

As Cardano and Stellar struggle to keep up their momentum, Angry Pepe Fork (APORK) shows itself to be a viable competitor. Moreover, APORK is drawing in investors seeking large returns with its novel “Conquer To Earn” mechanism and robust community involvement. Investors need to be aware of new chances and developing trends as the altcoin market changes. Offering interaction as well as earnings, APORK is a noteworthy addition to the altcoin market.
