On Tuesday, the Oyo state government suspended Ojo Roqeeb, a secondary school student, for reportedly assaulting a Corps member who is supposed to be a teacher at the school.
Barrister Rahman Abiodun Abdu- Raheem, the state commissioner for education, science, and technology, issued the suspension order in a letter to the suspended student’s parents.
During a visit to Anglican Commercial Secondary School, Orita-Mefa Ibadan, Barrister Abdu-Raheem frowned at the alleged slapping of the Corps member instructor by SSS 2 student, Ojo Roqeeb, and ordered the boy to be suspended for one month immediately.

The commissioner emphasized that, in addition to a month’s punishment, the SSS 2 student would be required to apologize to the corps member and sign an undertaking upon his or her return.
Barrister Abdu Raheem while addressing the students tasked them to be of good behaviour, reiterating that Oyo state government would not condone any act of indiscipline.
