Osun Police Detain Couple as Husband Allegedly Kills Bishop with Stabbing

A couple has been arrested by the Osun State Police Command after the husband is accused of stabbing Bishop Shina Olaribigbe, the head of Rapture Empowerment International in Osogbo.
The command spokesman, Yemisi Opalola, revealed that the terrible event took place at the suspect’s wife’s home on Thursday, according to BBC News Pidgin.
According to reports, the deceased clergyman had been mediating the couple’s disagreements before they separated, and the couple had been living apart as a result of continuous marital disputes.

“We were told that when the husband arrived at the woman’s house today (Thursday), the pastor was there,” said Opalola. Additionally, we were informed that the pastor was stabbed by the husband.

He died when the husband repeatedly stabbed him. The husband is thought to have taken action because he suspected the pastor of having an affair with his wife.

Because the clergyman was allegedly discovered in the woman’s bedroom at the time of the incident, sources said that the husband thought the bishop was having an affair with his wife.

The public has been reassured that justice will be served by the police, who have begun an inquiry into the case. The pair is still being held while investigators try to learn all the circumstances of what happened.
