Only God can remove Tinubu from power – APC group

Confederation of All APC Support Groups, an All Progressives Congress support group, claims that only God has the power to unseat President Bola Tinubu.

No one can unseat Tinubu, the group claims, who won the presidential election by a landslide on February 25.

The group criticized Cardinal John Onaiyekan, the Catholic Archbishop Emeritus of Abuja, for allegedly saying that Tinubu “is not yet Nigeria’s President until the Presidential Election Petition Court says so.”

Onaiyekan’s opposition to Tinubu’s presidency, despite being a Yoruba man like Tinubu, disappointed Director General of the Confederation of All APC Support Groups, Muhammad Kialani, at a press conference on Sunday in Kaduna.

The group urged the cleric to quit his position as a preacher and enter politics while also calling for Onaiyekan’s arrest.

In response, Kailani said, “We woke up today and we saw on social media that those who are supposed to bring unity in this country’s diversity are actually trying to bring war. The ones attempting to create a crisis are they.

“We didn’t anticipate Archbishop John Onaiyekan to claim that Tinubu is not yet the president of Nigeria. Until the court declared a winner, he said, the election was still ongoing.

“This is completely condemned by the Confederation of All APC Support Groups across the country. Our happiness is low. No one in Nigeria is content.

We believed that this man was Yoruba and that our President, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, is also Yoruba, but he is criticizing him. Even the Afenifere did not vote for him during the election, which saw more than 80% of Yorubas abstain.

“People like Pastor Tunde Bakare, Chief Bode George, and the others said they didn’t want him. This President was brought by us. His removal is impossible. He can only be eliminated by God. We’ve cast our ballots. The 25th of February, 2023, saw the voice of Nigeria.

All Nigerians are being urged to oppose this action, and we want him arrested because doing so will start a war.

Onaiyekan was given a warning by the group not to cooperate with destabilization agents, warning that they would not take such a step lightly.

To “come and join us in politics,” they urged Onaiyekan. Leave the pulpit so he can leave. In order to understand how politics are conducted in this nation, he should join us rather than remain in his home, where he feels at ease and where others are using him to undermine our stability. We won’t be cavalier about it. We keep an eye on.
