OKANGA ATTENDS AGILA PRAYERS AS HE PRESENTS COW AND CASH GIFT FOR TRADITIONAL THANKSGIVING, ANNUAL LAND PURIFICATION

The Honourable Member representing the good people of Ado, Ogbadibo and Okpokwu Federal Constituency, who is also the Deputy Spokesperson of the House of Representatives, Chief. Dr. Hon. Philip Agbese has donated a fat cow and some cash gift to the people of Agila in honour of their annual land purification and traditional thanksgiving known as “Otaje”.

Dr. Philip Agbese, was heavily represented by the Ado local government APC acting Chairman, Hon. Owobi Josiah, to make the presentation.

In his words, “I want to thank the Almighty God who created Agila in his benevolence and gave life to our forefathers, ancestors for his protection over every son and daughter irrespective of geographical location and for safeguarding the land despite all our adversaries in the past.

Our culture is our heritage, and we shall continue to uphold the customs and traditions that bind us together as one people together forever. It is God’s will and instructions that we should honour our father and mother so that our days on earth shall be long.

Receiving the cow and the cash gift on behalf of the “Itsogwa-Agila” was the ‘Otsonu-Agila,Chief Otse Orinya and Agada Otsepa, Chief Simon Attah Onminyi, who in their words thanked Chief Agbese for his love and magnanimous heart towards his people.

They said when the ancestors who are angels in heaven are happy, the Almighty God is also happy and will bless the land including every son and daughter of Agila with long life, prosperity and peace in their endeavours.

The traditional council prays for good health and sound mind for the Honourable member, in order to continue his good works for the people of Agila, Ado, and the entire ‘Eno’ne’.
