The Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has sent his congratulations to the Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, following today’s judgement by the Supreme Court that confirmed Senator Adeleke’s victory in the 2022 election for the governorship of Osun State.
Obaseki praised the decision of the Supreme Court as “a triumph of justice” in a statement, praising the court for honoring the will of the people of Osun State.
According to him, “I congratulate my friend and brother, the Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, over the verdict of the Supreme Court which validated his victory in the 2022 Osun State Governorship election.” Senator Adeleke is currently serving as the Governor of Osun State.
“The judgement is a victory for those who believe in fairness. The highest court in the land has once again shown its support for the people by confirming the elections. During these elections, the citizens of Osun State cast their votes overwhelmingly in favor of electing Senator Ademola Adeleke, the candidate for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), to the position of governor.
It is a victory for the good, and the people of Osun State may rest well knowing that their cherished governor will provide exceptional governance.
“With this verdict, Osun State will continue to enjoy the good dividends of democracy, and they are assured of responsible and quality governance.”
