The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, in Katsina State has extended the service of 16 of the 661 corps members who completed their service year on Friday.
For breaking the scheme’s norms and regulations, the 16 corps members had their service year extended.
Hajiya Aisha Muhammed, the state’s NYSC Coordinator, made the announcement on Friday in Katsina during the low-key passing-out ceremony for the 2023 Batch A Stream One corps members.
She stated that some of the impacted corps members were offered a one-month extension, others three weeks, and still others two weeks.
She went on to say that three more members were recognized for excelling in their Community Development Service (CDS) projects during the year.

According to her, Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda signed their certificates of honor.
She did, however, advise the departing Corps members to make use of the abilities they gained via the NYSC abilities Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development, SAED, program.
She also thanked the state government for the hospitality extended to the participants throughout the service year.
