Nwoko has previously run for the Senate as one of the distinguished sons of Idumuje Ugboko, a village in Aniocha North local government area.

In 2019, he ran for Senate against incumbent Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, but was defeated on legal grounds.

However, with the 2023 general elections approaching, he seems to have a clear path to victory in the Senate, since the incumbent has switched to the APC and his popularity has grown.

Ned Nwoko is one of Delta State’s and Nigeria’s most prominent philanthropists. Through a variety of programs for youths, students, widows, and people with disabilities in Delta and Nigeria, he has had a significant impact on many lives.

Prince Ned Munir Nwoko is a lawyer with a British education. Prince Nwoko was born on December 21, 1960, into the Idumuje-Ugboko Royal family in Delta State’s Aniocha North Local Government Area. He attended the University of Keele in Staffordshire, England. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Law and History from this institution.

He subsequently went on to King’s College, London, to pursue an LLM in Maritime and Commercial Law. Following that, he was summoned to the English Bar at Lincoln’s Inn.
