Nwakuche Ndidi has been appointed as the Nigerian Correctional Service’s Acting Controller-General by President Bola Tinubu.
Ndidi’s appointment will formally start on December 15, 2024, according to a statement issued on Friday by Ja’afaru Ahmed, the Secretary of the Civil Defense, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Board.
His appointment follows the expiration of Haliru Nababa’s term as Comptroller General.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, has kindly confirmed Nwakuche Sylvester Ndidi’s appointment as the Acting Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service after Haliru Nababa’s term has ended, according to the announcement. The date of his appointment is December 15, 2024.

Nwakuche was born in Oguta, Imo State, on November 26, 1966. Prior to his appointment, he served as the Training and Staff Development Directorate’s Deputy Controller-General. He has the national honor of Member of the Federal Republic and is a fellow of the esteemed National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies.
