Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo, has not received a letter suspending him from his position as Lagos State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, according to his spokesman Jimoh Buhari.
This was Buhari’s reaction to a viral letter from the NURTW national leadership in Abuja reportedly suspending MC Oluomo as Lagos chair.
According to the letter signed by NURTW General Secretary Kabiru Yau, MC Oluomo has been suspended indefinitely for gross misconduct. MC Oluomo was then told to hand over to his deputy.

“We are unaware of the suspension because we have not received a letter from the national leadership,” he said.
Social media cannot suspend an organization’s leader.
“MC Oluomo is about to chair a meeting. He leads Lagos NURTW.”
The union’s national headquarters reportedly questioned Akinsanya for refusing to follow recent national leadership orders.
In the February 14, 2022 query, Akinsanya was accused of intimidating, harassing, and assaulting the newly-elected Chairman of the Tricycle Owners and Operators Association of Nigeria, Azeez Abiola, aka Istijabah.
In his response, Akinsanya denied inciting union members to assault Abiola.

The legality of TOOAN operations in the state is currently being challenged in court.
Akinsanya also denied insubordination and anti-union activities in the state.
