Ten individuals have been taken into custody by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Bauchi State Command, for a variety of offenses during the Yuletide season.
While parading the suspects in Bauchi on Wednesday, State Commandant Oloyede Oyerinde said this.
He claimed the individuals were taken into custody on charges of theft, rape, and vandalism. He claims that on December 24, seven of the accused were taken into custody in Zaranda village, Toro Local Government Area, for damaging the historic Nitel tower.

Six oxyacetylene gas cylinders, perimeter fencing wire mesh, and a portion of the vandalized tower are among the goods found on the suspects, according to Oyerinde.
He clarified that two further individuals were taken into custody on December 31 for stealing two drums from a fueling station in the Turum neighborhood of Bauchi city.
“The rape suspect was arrested on December 27 for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl in an uncompleted building in Misau Local Government Area.”
The commandant commended his personnel for their commitment to safeguarding public infrastructure and warned perpetrators to desist from vandalism and other crimes or face consequences.
Oyerinde urged the public to assist the corps with vital information to help in the fight against vandalism and other crimes in the state.
