Buhari, the President of Nigeria, has referred to the IPOB, the Indigenous People of Biafra, as thieves.
Nnamdi Kanu and his armed group, the IPOB, are described as criminals promoting terrorism in Nigeria.
Presidential candidate put forth the assertion that IPOB is not working to protect Christians in the Southeast.
Garba Shehu, who is the president’s spokesperson, told reporters that the group’s assault on police stations and government buildings in the Southeast disturbed the president.
Buhari, who had previously spoken in favor of the Kanu-led group, told reporters that they were not freedom fighters.

The passage states: “As for IPOB, their struggle for freedom does not commence when they attack police stations and property, but rather when they engage in acts of terrorism.”
Ipob is not doing so because, as foreign lobbyists representing their nation’s Christian citizens say, almost every citizen of the terrorized nations are Christian.
The president also appealed to Nigerians to come together to “stand against those who would use divisive and exploitative interests to divide us.”
