There are high hopes for the squad to expand on their previous achievements after D’Tigress put on an incredible performance at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, where they advanced to the quarterfinals.
In the forthcoming AfroBasket Championship, they hope to further establish their supremacy in African women’s basketball, and their expertise and tenacity will be essential.
It should be noted that the D’Tigress are the competition’s most dominant squad. They have won the competition four times in a row, therefore if they win this year, it will be their fifth consecutive victory and their seventh overall.
Famous teams Angola and Egypt will compete against the host country, Côte d’Ivoire, in Group A of this year’s tournament. South Sudan, Cameroon, and Mali make up Group B’s competitive composition. Senegal, Uganda, and Guinea will face each other in Group C.
