Wura-Ola Adepoju has been officially appointed as the Nigeria Immigration Service’s substantive comptroller-general (CG) by President Bola Tinubu (NIS).
Adepoju allegedly revealed the information to NIS personnel on Wednesday during the comptroller-general’s parade, according to The Cable.
“It is also important for you to know that I have been confirmed as a substantive comptroller-general of immigration, by the grace of God and the generosity of the current government,” she stated.

The date of the decoration, she said, would be revealed soon.
“Yes, she has been confirmed as comptroller-general,” stated Anyanwu Ifeanyi, a spokesman for the NIS, in response to the news.
Isah Jere’s term as CG ended on May 29, and Adepoju was named acting CG in her place. She is the first woman in Nigerian history to hold the role.
