All Super Eagles players have been passed fit for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.
The match will be held at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, here in Benin, from 5pm on Friday.
The players took the mandatory Covid-19 tests on Wednesday and all the results came in negative on Thursday, the Nigeria Football Federation revealed on Thursday night.
The team’s officials also took the tests and all were negative, giving the whole squad a clean bill of health.
All the players and officials also returned negative tests ahead of the international friendly matches against Algeria and Tunisia in Austria in October.
Captain Ahmed Musa said after the results were made known to the squad: “This is great news. Now, let us go out there on Friday and get the three points.”
The Super Eagles, who lead Group L will reach the 2022 AFCON finals scheduled for Cameroon if they win on Friday, and beat the Leone Stars again in Tuesday’s return fixture at the Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown.
The Nigeria Football Federation confirmed on Thursday that the Super Eagles delegation to the return match in Freetown will travel aboard a chartered flight to the Sierra Leonean capital on Monday, and fly back to Abuja immediately after the game.
