Nigeria Seeks $1.65 Billion World Bank Loan for Three Projects in 2025

According to a World Bank statement on its website, the Nigerian government hopes to be approved for a $1.65 billion loan in 2025.

Three major projects put out by the Nigerian government would be up for decision-making by the global bank in 2025.

Politics Nigeria is aware that the loan is intended to help the nation overcome some of its developmental shortcomings.

A commitment of $300 million has been proposed for the first loan project, Solutions for the Internally Displaced and Host Communities Project, which is scheduled to be approved by the World Bank on April 8, 2025.

According to the administration, the loan will assist in addressing the nutritional and educational issues that IDPs nationwide confront.

Additionally, the second project, called HOPE for Quality Basic Education for All, has a $553.8 million commitment and an approval deadline of March 20, 2025.

Accelerating Nutrition Results in Nigeria 2.0, the third and final initiative, has a projected $800 million funding fund with an approval deadline of February 20, 2025.

On February 20, 2025, the international financing institution will convene to select the projects and grant further permission if required.
