Dr. Olasupo Olusi has been appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank of Industry (BOI) by President Bola Tinubu.
Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Special Advisor on Media and Publicity, announced the appointment in an Abuja statement on Thursday.
He added that Olusi’s appointment came about as a result of Mr. Olukayode Pitan, the former managing director of BOI, resigning.
He stated that the appointment was made for a four-year initial term.
The statement said, “Over the past 20 years, Olusi has worked as a development finance expert and economist for the World Bank.

Olusi worked as the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance’s economic advisor from 2011 until 2015.
“He graduated from Hull University in the United Kingdom.”
In addition, Olusi graduated from Durham University in the United Kingdom in 2005 with a doctorate in finance and economics and a master’s degree in international money, finance, and investment.
“The President charged the newly appointed BOI Chief Executive with making sure Nigerians running businesses of all sizes across all sectors had fair and equal access to much-needed support.”
