The Federal Government of Nigeria has fired Capt. Rabiu Yadudu, the managing director of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria.
This comes as the FG approved the appointment of Kabir Mohammed, the current manager of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, as the new managing director of the FAAN. Next week is when he’s supposed to start working.
Mohammed held the position of Regional General Manager for North Central prior to being named the new FAAN leader.
He was appointed by the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, as the Chairman of the Aviation Roadmap Implementation Committee in January 2022, a position he effectively combined with his position as the General Manager, Special Duties at FAAN.
As of the time of publication, information regarding Yadudu’s removal was still hazy.
Details to come.
