The Federal Road Safety Corps has announced that traffic will be diverted off of the expressway at New Garage and into the state of Lagos.
The diversion, according to the traffic agency, was part of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway’s ongoing rehabilitation.
This was stated in a statement made public on Sunday by Bisi Kazeem, the FRSC Corps Public Education Officer.
“Traffic from Isheri Olowora passing through River Valley Estate to link the expressway inward Lagos has been diverted to pass through Babcock College, opposite Enyo filling station to link the expressway and drive into Lagos,” the statement said in part.
To connect the expressways at the BRT Bus-stop, they could also pass through Ojodu and make a U-turn in front of FRSC Ojodu.
According to Kazeem, the FRSC Corps Marshal, Dauda Biu, has instructed the FRSC Commands along the corridor to ensure that commuters can move about without difficulty.
The statement continued, “He also exhorts the traveling public to exercise maximum patience and cooperate with the law enforcement agencies along the said routes.”
