Kemisola Ogunniyi, the #EndSARS activist who just gave birth to a child while imprisoned, has been granted temporary release from custody.
In accordance with an order issued by Justice Omolara Adejumo of the Ondo State High Court, she was released on Tuesday afternoon from Surulere Prison in the Ondo West Local Government area.

The judge had previously granted her bail in the sum of N10 million before ordering that she be permitted to attend the naming ceremony of her kid.
Ogunniyi, who was seized by the Nigerian Army in October 2020 after the #EndSARS protests became violent, is anticipated to return to prison following the naming ceremony. He was previously detained by the Nigerian Army in April 2019.
When Ogunniyi was arrested, she was two months pregnant. She gave birth to a baby boy on June 16, 2021, while still in custody.
