The certificates of return for candidates who won seats in the Senate and the House of Representatives during the election last Saturday will be distributed next week.
In a meeting on Saturday with the Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, and the Resident Electoral Commissioners, or RECs, the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, made this statement.

Yakubu stated that the House of Representatives newly elected representatives would receive their certificates on March 8 and the newly elected senators would receive theirs on March 7.
In addition, the INEC Chairman announced that 423 legislative seats had winners and that there might be a need for supplementary elections in 46 constituencies.
In addition, it was revealed that 325 out of 360 seats in the House of Representatives and 98 out of 109 Senate seats had already been chosen.
The House of Representatives was won by eight parties, while the Senate was won by seven parties.

The INEC director stated that the elect senators and house representatives would each receive certificates on March 7 and 8, respectively.
