The recently commissioned Ultra-Modern Newsroom, according to National Assembly Clerk Kamoru Ogunlana, is a significant move toward enhancing institutional efficiency and openness.
Ogunlana stated during the commissioning ceremony that the facility would strengthen public interaction, increase documentation of legislative processes, and improve information management.
“This newsroom is a strategic investment intended to improve documentation of legislative activities, strengthen information management, and enhance public engagement,” he stated.
The facility is being transformed into a representation of institutional power and patriotism, he continued.
“We are transforming it into a destination that represents the dignity and significance of democratic governance as well as a center of pride and national significance,” Ogunlana said.
The Clerk described employees as the foundation of the organization and emphasized the significance of staff welfare and capacity enhancement.
“We need to end the vandalism and neglect trend. He asked all employees to adopt a strong maintenance culture.
Speaking as well, Research and Information Directorate Secretary Ali Umaru, a pharmacist, called the newsroom a significant turning point for the legislative.
According to Umaru, “it is not just the revealing of a physical structure but the revealing of capacity and strategic communication.”
