Leaders of the Niger Delta Movement for Development (NDMD) have slammed the Ijaw Youths Council (IYC) Worldwide for what they described as unwarranted and irresponsible attacks on Senator Godswill Akpabio, Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, over the Niger Delta Development Commission’s forensic audit report (NDDC).

In a statement released on Sunday, NDMD Convener Victor Mathew praised President Muhammadu Buhari and Akpabio for concluding the forensic audit of the NDDC.
Mathew described Akpabio’s audit report to President Buhari as thorough and far-reaching, saying that implementing the recommendations would reposition the commission to fulfill its mandate.
