The author of an award-winning book series titled, O Kingdom Come, which was released last year to rave reviews, has announced an art competition tagged, As Above So Below.
According to a statement sent to Sunday Scoop, the competition aims to spotlight incredible talents across the globe using the book and its YouTube series on YouTube as references to inspire their art.
Speaking on what the competition aims to achieve, Adedayo Erivic, who is a comic book artist/creator, as well as the founder of the Comics Archive Africa and Comic Con Ibadan said, “CG Africa and Comic Con Ibadan are organising this art competition to select artists who can reinvent scenes from the book and web series. Submissions must be in grayscale and colour to be eligible for the competition. Artists from across Africa and the world at large have a shot at becoming our best artist.”
The winner of the competition will go home with a cash prize of $500 and other consolation gifts.
Meanwhile, the finalists will be announced on March 30, 2024, at the annual Comic Con event in Ibadan, Oyo State.
