Military kills Kachalla, three other notorious terrorist commanders

The death of four well-known terrorist leaders in airstrikes this week has been verified by the Defense Headquarters.

The names of these people include Ali Alhaji Alheri, also known as Kachalla Ali Kawaje, Dan Muhammadu, Machika, and Haro.”

This was disclosed in an Abuja statement on Saturday by Maj.-Gen. Edward Buba, Director, Defence Media Operations.

Haro and Dan Muhammadu were experts in kidnapping and assault operations, respectively, according to Buba, while Machika was a top terrorist bomb expert and the younger brother of infamous terrorist Dogo Gide.

According to him, Kachalla Kawaje, a well-known terrorist leader who was in charge of kidnapping the students at Federal University Gusau, Zamfara, was killed on December 11th, when air and ground forces coordinated their attack on the same target.

In Munya Local Government Area, Niger, he said, Kachalla and numerous of his foot soldiers were neutralized.

He said more will face the same fate because the military is closing in quickly.

Air assets, according to Buba, carried out aggressive airstrikes on verified sites where terrorist leaders and their foot soldiers were moving.

The terrorist leaders and their foot troops were killed in over 38 of the strikes, he continued, while 159 more were taken into custody.
