Military invaded my home, kidnapped four security guards – MASSOB founder Uwazuruike.

Ralph Uwazuruike, the Movement’s founder, has accused the military of capturing four of his security guards. The Movement is called the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB).

According to Uwazuruike, military personnel broke into his rural Onuimo Local Government residence in Imo State on Sunday night and kidnapped the security guards.

According to a statement released by Chris Mocha, the Director of Information for Uwazuruike, “four of my security details guarding MASSOB Freedom House in Onuimo Local Government were abducted by some Nigerian soldiers that stormed my Okwe country home.”
“The kidnapping happened without provocation, and the soldiers gave no justification.”

Uwazuruike made a request to the Commander of the 32 Artillery Brigade at Obinze, which is close to Owerri, to guarantee the release of his guards.

Because of their “peaceful approach to our agitation for Biafra,” according to the Biafra agitator, BIM-MASSOB members have never been found guilty of a crime or declared wanton by security reports.

“The soldiers arrived at the MASSOB Freedom House in a Navy blue Sienna car and spotted the MASSOB security men in front of the gate,” Uwazuruike continued. Without warning or explanation, the five soldiers approached my security guards and began flogging them.
“After beating my members, the soldiers wrapped them in clothes, blindfolded them, and took them to somewhere unknown.”

Army spokesman Joseph Akubo responded by saying that soldiers only arrest dubious-character men, not kidnapping people.

But other sister security services, like the Navy and Air Force, he claimed, dress in army uniforms.

Akubo added, “You should be aware that the uniforms worn by the Navy and Air Force are identical to those of the Army.”
